Leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to create value in a strained market environment: the Personality of the Year (POTY) award recognizes leaders who are concretely shaping the future of the industry. This year, in the "Foodservice Manufacturers" category, three profiles stand out for their impact, their career paths, and the way they anticipate industry shifts.
Among the nominees for the 2025-2026 edition is Stefaan Bettens, a Belgian entrepreneur and CEO of Jet Import, a family-owned company specializing in the development of premium beverage and snack brands. He started with the company in 1986, notably distributing the Mexican beer Corona Extra, before taking over the management and implementing a strategy focused on innovation, sales-oriented marketing, and international brands.
In 1996, the introduction of Red Bull in Belgium and Luxembourg marked a major turning point and positioned Jet Import as an expert in brand building in the Benelux. He also played a key role in the launch of brands such as Desperados and Fever-Tree, helping to transform the premium beverage market.
Under his leadership, Jet Import has become a major player in the sector, generating over €350 million in revenue in 2025 with more than 60 brands and 160 employees. Recognized for his impact on the industry, Stefaan Bettens embodies an entrepreneurial vision based on innovation, quality, and sustainable growth.
