Leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to create value in a strained market environment: the Personality of the Year (POTY) award recognizes leaders who are concretely shaping the future of the industry. This year, in the "Foodservice Manufacturers" category, three profiles stand out for their impact, their career paths, and the way they anticipate industry shifts.
Among the nominees for the 2025-2026 edition is Sabine Sagaert. A renowned Belgian executive in the agrifood and foodservice industry, she is currently the CEO of Ardo. She began her career at CBR Cement Bedrijven in logistics and commercial roles before joining AB InBev, where she held several strategic positions in retail, foodservice, and marketing, eventually becoming General Manager France and, in 2006, President of the Belux Business Unit.
In 2011, she continued her career at Cargill, where she successively led the global Malt business and then the Oils & Seeds EMEA division. She later joined Vandemoortele in 2020 as Managing Director of Frozen Bakery, before taking the helm of Ardo in 2024.
A specialist in foodservice and food innovation, Sabine Sagaert stands out for her commitment to sustainability, responsible partnerships, and diversity, combining economic performance, product innovation, and societal impact.
