Madonna, the new neighborhood pizzeria by Squadra Cocina

The Squadra Cocina group has inaugurated a new restaurant, Madonna, a "neighborhood pizzeria" in Uccle. The establishment, designed for neighbors, regulars, and all lovers of "real pizza," offers Neapolitan style in the traditional way.

"Authentic and accessible Italian cuisine." Since 2016, Squadra Cocina has been developing locations in Brussels and its outskirts dedicated to the culinary art of Italy: the Cocina brands in Châtelain and Flagey, Bistro Nazionale, its event catering service Gabriella, and Villa Fiore in La Hulpe.

This time, the restaurant group is offering a new pizzeria, Madonna, an address it claims to be more direct, "more urban, focused on daily life," while capitalizing on the fundamentals that have driven its activities for ten years: product quality and respect for the seasons.

"With Madonna, we wanted to create a neighborhood pizzeria in the simplest sense of the term. A place that is part of the neighborhood's life," explains Sacha Tarica, co-founder of Madonna, emphasizing the high standards applied to pizza quality, the welcome, the ingredients, the producers, and "the expertise of our 100% Italian teams."

Cooking is done over a wood fire, the menu is intentionally short, and ingredients are selected from Italian producers. The menu also features a signature pizza with a ricotta-stuffed crust, accompanied by specific recipes, including a gluten-free pizza and a 100% vegan pizza.

Madonna opened its doors in January on Place Saint-Job and is open 7 days a week, without reservations, for lunch and dinner. It is possible to eat in, take out, or have food delivered. Located in a former printing house, which was also the group's catering shop, the space was designed, like all Squadra venues, by Carmelo Licata, the Sicilian co-founder.
