Uber Eats now delivers Picard frozen products in Belgium too

Sixteen Belgian Picard stores have been offering their products on the Uber Eats app since July 16. "This exclusive partnership allows local customers to receive their favorite frozen foods in record time," the two companies said.

More than 600 frozen products are just a click away, from appetizers to desserts, including raw ingredients, delivered to your home quickly in insulated bags. This is the promise of frozen food creator and distributor Picard, which already offers home delivery services. This is through a new local collaboration with the Uber Eats platform, which has been available in our region for nearly ten years.

A practical, fast, and accessible solution to meet new consumer habits, the two entities claim in their joint press release. "On average, less than 30 minutes after order confirmation, and less than 15 minutes after the order is collected by the delivery person." This is essential to respect the cold chain.

Picard has 17 stores in Belgium, mainly located in the Brussels (10) and Walloon (6) regions. The price of this new delivery service has not been detailed; the average rate was €3.50 when it launched last year in major French cities. On ubereats.com, a fee of €4.99 is listed for the Chaussée d'Ixelles store alone.

Both companies should logically benefit from this commercial agreement. For the frozen food specialist, the service expands its customer base, targeting those who prefer the convenience of delivery platforms. By strengthening its visibility and accessibility, Picard could expect a direct increase in sales and a consolidation of its position in the home delivery market.

As for Uber Eats, the transaction allows the platform to diversify its offering, making the application more attractive to (new) users looking for convenient ready-to-heat / ready-to-cook options. This expands its presence on the Belgian market, with a technically distinctive proposition compared to the competition.
