Leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to create value in a strained market environment: the Personality of the Year (POTY) award recognizes leaders who serve as role models for other industry players. This year, in the "Wholesalers Foodservice" category, three profiles stand out.

Among the nominees for the 2025-2026 edition is Roderick D'Hoore. Since 2000, he has been at the helm of the family business Horeca Totaal, a Belgian supplier of comprehensive solutions for professionals in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Under his leadership, Horeca Totaal has steadily grown to become a leading player, resolutely focusing on product quality and short supply chains, whether for fresh fish, meat, or fruits and vegetables.

It is this quality, along with the service provided by 350 employees, that has won over a clientele consisting of restaurateurs, hoteliers, bakers, butchers, fishmongers, caterers, industrial kitchens, and sandwich shops. It is no secret: you will also find top chefs among them!

The Horeca Totaal cash-and-carry stores in Bruges, Ostend, and Antwerp, equipped with a highly efficient delivery service, supply Flanders as well as parts of the Netherlands. The opening of the Antwerp store, following the takeover of the site previously operated by Metro since 2016, has given an additional dimension to the company, which can now expand its reach to the provinces of Antwerp, Limburg, and even Brussels.

Roderick's vision and entrepreneurial spirit have made his company a major player, backed by deep experience and a commitment to excellence.
