Horeca products arrive at Colruyt Lowest Prices

From today, two Colruyt Lowest Prices stores will add an additional assortment of 200 products from Solucious, the foodservice branch of Colruyt Group, specifically intended for the hotel and catering industry. Colruyt Group wants to strengthen its position in the B2B market. 


From now on, 200 Solucious products will be available at Colruyt Lowest Prices, in the shops in Sint-Pieters-Bruges and Aalst. These products, initially intended for companies in the Horeca sector, are now available for private customers too.

These include products such as fresh cut vegetables in larger packaging and in larger quantities, specific frozen products and gloves. All these products are from the range of Solucious, the foodservice specialist of Colruyt Group. The butcher's will also offer a catering service for customers. They can order custom-made meat in the quantity they want and have it packaged as they wish. The shops in Aalst and Bruges were specifically chosen for this test because they are spacious shops in strategic locations, the retailer said in a press release. “Bruges, as a major tourist attraction, is ideally located at the gateway to the coast and has many catering establishments. Aalst, for its part, occupies a key position between Brussels and Ghent, which also makes it an interesting choice.” The test in the two cities reinforces the group's ambition to continue its growth in the B2B market. Yves Vandenbrande, head of Solucious, says: “We are seeing a change in consumer behavior: they are increasingly juggling between home cooking, eating out, home delivery, and even quick snacks on the go. As a Belgian distributor, our goal is to meet these diverse needs. On the one hand, by emphasizing convenience and fast consumption for our customers, and on the other hand, by focusing fully on the Horeca sector.” Solucious expanded last year through the acquisitions of Valfrais and Délidis. Colruyt Group is also present in the B2B market through its four Colruyt Professionals stores. Moreover, the group believes that it is possible to double its offering in this area.
